Hello and welcome to a new challenge over at the Funkie Junkie Challenge blog. Our new theme for June 1st - 14th is music. Add a music themed element to your cards, journal spreads, or 3D projects we greatly look forward to seeing all of your creative makes.

The Design Team will choose their three top picks, and the overall winner will receive the $25 gift certificate to go on a spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique. All four top picks will receive badges to display on their blogs in recognition of their outstanding contributions. Be sure to stop over to the blog to see all the details of the challenge. While you're there check out the fantastic creations my talented teammates made to inspire you!

For my take on this theme I am using an old stamp set CMS358 Music and Advert in the background of my card to tie into the music theme. Process video down below.

For this under 15min card I used: AI glacier, vineyard, effort, and cobalt, stamp set CMS358 music and advert, label  sticker sentiment, Idea-ology black cardstock and metallic cardstock, Sizzix bird silhouette and tattered florals, yupo paper, AI ink blower tool, alcohol lift ink, and blending solution.

To start this card I took a piece of yupo paper and drizzled on some blending solution. The yupo is 5x7in.

Next I dropped on alcohol inks in the colors of vineyard, cobalt, eggplant, and glacier.

Then I moved the in around using the Ranger TH ink blower tool. As needed I dropped in more blending solution help the inks move.

Here is the finished AI background. I love how this ended up looking like a nighttime sky.

Here I dusted the background with an anti-static pouch tool. I like to do this when I have sticky spots on an AI background.

Now let’s lift some ink! Here I am adding some lift ink to the music stamp from CMS358 music and Advert.
The using good firm pressure I stamped the image. Below you can see some of the ink has lifted with the initial stamping.
Now the magic, with a paper towel I gently dab off the ink.

Once all the ink that can be lifted is dabbed off I then lightly burnish the remaining ink off with a clean paper towel.

Now it is time to assemble the card. I decided to make this a layered card. On the base I have a scrap piece of black AI cardstock cut at 5.5x4.25, then a layer of metallic silver cardstock cut at 5x3.75in.

The AI background was cut down to 4.75x3.5in.

Now for the focal points I die cut a branch from the tattered florals die set and a bit from the bird silhouette die set.

The last element I added was an Idea-ology label sticker.

Thank you so much for joining me here today at the crafty corner. Until next time, we happy crafting!
