We also hope you will enter into our drawing for a $25 gift certificate to the Funkie Junkie Boutique by creating something with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Stamps or stencils. Post on your social media and tag us at #thefunkiejunkie . At the end of our two week challenge we will randomly select a $25 gift certificate winner.

For this anything goes theme I have decided to take inspiration from last Saturday’s Tim Holtz live Sizzix remix. The life has inspired me to try out the bunny games die set and mix it with some Christmas die sets. Today I will be focussing on using distress re-inkers, Ranger embossing powder and we will be mixing and matching for two adorable Christmas bunny cards.

Used: Bunny games, Bigz die potted, Christmas minis, Twig and Stump, holiday brushstrokes 3, Ranger white embossing powder, distress embossing ink, distress ink speckled egg, distress oxide Reinkers kitsch flamingo, black soot, brushed corduroy, lumberjack plaid, prize ribbon, rustic wilderness, and lucky clover, collage medium, distress watercolor paper, fine detailer water brush.

For the foundation for our cute little bunny rabbits I am first adding some distress embossing ink with the ink dabber over some watercolour paper. I am not trying for perfect coverage with the ink because I want to get a splotchy affect when we add the embossing powder.

Next I am adding some Ranger white distress and Bossing powder. As you will notice the coverage is not even this is done intentionally so that we can add some texture to the rabbits’ fur.

After heat and Bossing the white and Bossing powder I then added some distress oxide reincre speckled egg to our substrate. I added the oxide ink with a mini blender and a dome foam.
Next I die cut the adorable bunny rabbits from the die set bunny games. To make the assembly part easier I have added double-sided tape to the back of our watercolour cardstock.
Next I am assembling the bunny rabbits and I am painting the features of the rabbits with some distress oxide free incurs and a find detailer Ranger water brush. The colours of distress oxides that I am using are kitchen flamingo and blacks soot.

Below are the adorable die cut bunny rabbits.

Now comes the fun part, embellishing our rabbits with some hats and scarves from the die set Twig and Stump.

For the hat and scarf Deca pieces I am using the distress oxide reinkers prize ribbon, uncharted mariner, lumberjack plaid, rustic wilderness, speckled egg,  and candied apple.
Below are our adorable altered bunnies with hats and scars from the die set Twig and Stump. So fun giving these little bunnies a winter makeover by mixing and matching die sets.

For our first background we are going to be using the die set snowscape.
For Snowscape I die cut out the pieces on some distress watercolour cardstock with double-sided adhesive on the back.

For the winter landscape I hate used distress oxide reinkers speckled egg and prize ribbon.
For the trees I use distress oxide rustic wilderness.
For the last element of the Solinski by also die cut some pieces from what colour car stock but sprinkled with this dress clearer Candy glitter. For the last element of the Solinski by also die cut some pieces from what colour car stock but sprinkled with this dress clearer Candy glitter The glitter at the perfect sparkle for fresh snow on this winter landscaping. For edits park on the background I used an old stashed alcohol ink backdrop created on sparkle cardstock.
To complete our winter receipt I also added some snowfall texture placed with a pallet knife at the base of the card.
For finishing touches on the card I also cut a few circles out of the glittered cardstock. I cut a 1 inch circle for a moon.

I also cut seven 3/8 of an inch circles for snowballs.
Then I started at building the winter seems starting with one of the cute little bunny rabbits.
From any games I also use these smaller rabbit that can hide behind an object. I hit this partial bunny behind a stack of snowballs.
Then in the sky I also placed a 1 inch circle sparkling moon.
Forward our next card I’m going to be working with the die set layered plaid.

Fort I can’t do this layers are used craft stock from the Idea-ology cool kraft stock pack and metallic kraft stock pack.
Below is layered plaid.
Focal point I added an oval to the centre of this card base.
For some more visual interest I also brought in a older bigz die potted.

I die cut the elements out of some Idea-ology backgrounds and metallic kraft stock.
Next I added two of the cute bunnies around the pot.
For the main focal point I am using holiday brushstrokes 3. I die cut the pieces on some distressed watercolour cardstock backed with double-sided tape.
To add colour to the die cut pieces are used distress oxide reinkers rustic wilderness, fossilized amber, and candied apple.
Then I arranged all of the floral elements in the planter from the bigz die potted.
For all of the leafy greens I gently tucked these in and around the poinsettia.
Below are my finished cards for mixing and matching old and new Tim Holtz Sizzix die sets.
