For this project I have decided to feature paper dolls from the New Tim Holtz Halloween Paper Dolls and the new Tim Holtz watercolour pencils. For instructional video click here.
For the card I decided to use distress watercolour pencils, Distress Crayon walnut stain, Idea-Ology collage tiles, Ideal-ology paper dolls, Idea-ology label stickers Idea-Ology washi tape ranger Tim Holtz mixed media paper, and collage medium
For the background of the card I decided to collage with the Idea-ology collage tiles.

To start with I created a layout with the tiles to see which placements I like best.
Then I glue down the tiles with some collage medium. I added glue to the front and the back of the tiles. Since there was a little bit of overhang with the tiles I trimmed that off with the Tim Holtz tonic mini trimmer.
Below is the complete of that ground with the Idea-ology tiles.
After I created a border with some of the new Halloween washy tape. I decided to double layer the border with a quarter inch tape and a half inch tape.

Here is the finish card front with applied washi tape.
For an add a touch of grunge I added some distress walnut stain crayon to each of the tile lines.
No for some excitement I just got my hands on the new distress watercolour pencils. To check out some swatches go to 00:12:47 on the YouTube video click here.
What is the watercolour pencils I coloured in our centrepiece which is a Tim Holtz favourite all What is the watercolour pencils I coloured in our centrepiece which is a Tim Holtz paper doll. Four colours are used price ribbon rustic wilderness vintage photo fossilized amber, and tattered rose.
To start with I scribbled down some of the distress watercolour pencil and then brought in the fine tip detailer Tim Holtz ranger water brush to move the pigment around.
Below are the finished results from Adam Distress watercolour pencil to a paper doll.
For finishing touches I added an Idea-ology label sticker and I brought the paper doll up with a few foam squares to give it a bit of dimension.

  1. I love the collage tile background, especially with the washi tape border. Your coloring of the boy and his best friend is wonderful!
