For in this challenge I have decided to create a large panel using distress white heavy stock. This panel is then going to be caught up into smaller segments to create a set of nine mini cards. For the tie in to the colour theme chilling in the summer heat I decided to go for cool tones of blue and green. For video click here.

Used: Distress spray stain  Twisted citron, Collage Medium, Stamp set CMS448 eccentric, Archival ink  Black soot, Sizzix Brushstroke Butterflies, Idea-ology metallic kraft stock, Idea-Ology metallic stickers, Distress watercolor paper, Tonic snips, holiday mica spray stains hocus locus, frosted juniper, winter berry, and bubbling cauldron.

To start this project I decided to do a foundation of distress spray stains using the colours mermaid Lagoon, Savage Patina, and Twisted citron.

I don’t spritzed the distress spray stains over some distress watercolour cardstock an added water using the Tim Holtz distress sprayer.
After my foundation panel sprayed then dried it was the Ranger heater. Next I added a few drip drops over the dried paper to add some speckled texture.

For the second panel I started with some distress white heavy stock and stamped with stamp set eccentric CMS 448 over the top with some distressed black archival soot.

I ended up stamping twice with a stamp set to cover the full page.

Next I started creating some different embellishments using Distress Mica Spray Stains Winterberry, bubbling caldron, hocus-pocus, and frosted juniper.

I cut several sheets of distress white heavy stuck in half and then split them with the mica spray stains and added some drip drops for texture.

For the next step I cut up the stamped panel into squares measuring 2.75 inches. I cut up a total of nine squares.

Then for the watercolour cardstock I cut this down into squares of 2.25 inches and again I cut none of them in total.
Below are the lower squares that I cut using the Tonic trimmer.
to stick all of these panels together quickly I used an ATG gun. Next I will create some quick foundations for these card panels.
For the carpet places are used some Nina crest white card stock at 100 GSM and cut them down to 6” x 3”.
Now it’s time to create some embellishments. Here are used stamps at CMS 449 floral elements to stamp out some embellishment pieces. For stamping I used to stress our carbo blacksuit.
I also used a mixture of leaves from the same stamp set.
Then I fussy cut out all of the small elements using the Tim Holtz Tonic mini snips.
For the main focal point of these mini cards I decided to use the Suzik‘s brush stroke butterflies.
I die cut the pieces from the Idea-Ology Tim Holtz metallic craft stock and the Tim Holtz paper pack cool colours. For diecutting I decided to use the vagabond.

Below I assembled all of the pieces mixing and matching the metallics with the solid colour diet cut pieces.

After die cutting and fussy cutting out all of my pieces I’ve then arranged them on the card front panels before glueing them into place with some collage medium.

Below are they finished results of this batch of tiny cards. For finishing touches I also added some of the Tim Holtz Idea-Ology metallic stickers.

Thank you so much for joining me here today at the crafty corner. Until next time, we happy crafting!
